Come celebrate with us!

Abraham and Michelle are getting married.

We're having a low key, backyard brunch to celebrate. There will be food and games and a brief toast in lieu of a ceremony. We really hope you can join us!

Here's the schedule for the wedding day (Saturday, May 7th):

10:00 am Start arriving at the Graham's house come around to the backyard! Coffee and mimosas will be available.

11:00 am Noted celebrant Sam Taylor will lead Abraham and Michelle as they promise to be BFFs. The family of the couple will say a few words.

11:15 am Brunch is served!

2:30 pm Last call!

We will also be at the Kogod Courtyard of the National Portrait Gallery (Near Metro Center station). Friday, May 6th from 1pm to 5pm. Feel free to drop in and hang out if you're in town.

Here's a guide to parking during the wedding itself — areas marked in green have ample street parking, and we recommend avoiding the street marked in red.

What are the COVID precautions?

We ask that all attendees be fully vaccinated / boosted (as available) etc. for COVID, and to take reasonable precautions to limit exposure prior to the event. Given that cases are rising in the DC area, we'd also appreciate it if everyone took a test before the event.

What should I wear?

"We will both be wearing suits. I guess you can wear normal wedding clothes or really whatever you want. Rules are dumb." —Abraham

What will the weather be like?

High temps at this time of year in Arlington are typically around 70 - 75 F (21 - 24 C). There is about a 33% chance of rain. In the case of heavy rains we will move things inside the Graham house, but consider also bringing a rain jacket or umbrella for light sprinkles.

How do I get there?

The streets in the Graham's neighborhood are a little confusing, so be sure to check Google Maps before departing. There is generally street parking available in the neighborhood, although we encourage car pooling to reduce the burden on our neighbors.

There are also two bus stops near the Graham's house if you'd like to use public transportation. You can also take the Metro to Virginia Square (on the Orange and Silver lines) and taxi/scooter/bike/bus from there.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! We've included children we are aware of on our invitations let us know if we missed your little one so we can plan appropriately.

What about gifts?

Thank you so much for thinking of us! We are very lucky to have everything we need, but we encourage people to support cool charities that we think do good things, like:

What should I do in DC?

There are lots of good museums in DC. Ones we like are the National Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, the National Botanic Gardens, or National Museum of African American History and Culture.

If you want delicious food, our favorite places are Pow Pow, Shouk, Fare Well, or Comet Ping Pong. If you're staying in Arlington, try Northside Social, Busboys and Poets, or Silver Diner - Clarendon.

If you like trees and nature and stuff, Great Falls, The National Arboretum, or Rock Creek Park are nice.
